Peanut Butter Fluff

Creamy, sweet, and oh-so-fluffy, Peanut Butter Fluff is the perfect no-bake treat for dipping, spreading, or eating by the spoonful!

A 5-INGREDIENT DESSERT DIP

Peanut Butter Fluff is about to become your new favorite sweet treat! A lot of folks complain that these dessert dips are made with cream cheese and they don’t like cream cheese – so I solved that problem with this one. Made with marshmallow fluff instead of cream cheese, it’s light, creamy, and sweet. If you’d like to cut the overall sweetness then you could certainly use the cream cheese instead of the fluff. This no-bake dessert recipe comes together in minutes. It is perfect for dipping fruit, cookies, or graham crackers, or just grabbing a spoon and going to town. I won’t judge!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Is this a sweet dip?

So, a lot of the times, these type of dessert dips are made with cream cheese, but since I used fluff in this recipe, it’s a bit sweeter than the typical cream cheese dessert dips. So if you don’t like your dessert dips very sweet, I would recommend using softened cream cheese (half a block) instead of marshmallow fluff.

How can I cut the sweetness back some?

As I stated above, the use of marshmallow fluff instead of cream cheese has the sweetness factor up a bit, if you need to cut it back some, you could use 4 ounces (1/2 block) of softened cream cheese.

What dippers should I use?

Options are endless, but here are a few of my favorite treats to use: Nilla Wafers, nutter butters, graham crackers, Oreos, and more!

Can I make this in advance?

This fluff is best the first day it’s made, and once saved in the fridge for several hours, it starts to get thick and firm up, and is not as fluffy but it would still technically work and taste good.

What other toppings can I use?

Other toppings that would go well with this fluff could be chocolate syrup, melted peanut butter, chopped peanuts, Reese’s Pieces – or nothing at all! There is plenty going on in this fluff that you really don’t need toppings.

What’s the best way to store leftovers?

Store leftovers in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 3-5 days. Please note that the fluff firms up, almost like a cookie dough texture, after being stored in the fridge.

INGREDIENTS NEEDED: (SEE RECIPE CARD BELOW FOR THE FULL RECIPE)

  • creamy peanut butter– I think you should be able to use crunchy peanut butter if that is what you prefer. But I would steer clear of using the natural peanut butter that you have to stir where the oil separates. I don’t think that would work well with this recipe. I have not tried this with any other nut butters.
  • marshmallow creme– you may know this stuff as Marshmallow Fluff. Jet-puffed marshmallow creme and Fluff both work well in this recipe.
  • Cool Whip whipped topping– thawed. You’ll need about half an 8 ounce tub.
  • regular sized Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups– You can omit them if needed. The dip will still turn out fine and will still have enough peanut butter flavor without the treats.
  • mini chocolate chips– I like to use the mini chocolate chips just because I think they are easier to eat in a dip like this.

HOW TO MAKE PEANUT BUTTER FLUFF:

In a medium sized bowl, mix together the peanut butter and marshmallow creme (this can be done with a handheld electric mixer or by hand.) Then fold in the thawed cool whip until well combined.

Fold in 8 of the chopped peanut butter cups into the fluff with ¼ cup of the mini chocolate chips. Place into a serving bowl and top with the rest of the mini chocolate chips and chopped peanut butter cups. If not serving right away, cover and place into the fridge.
