FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Why do I need to microwave the cake mix first?

This is done because the cake mix is not going to be baked so this helps kill any lingering bacteria that the dry mix could possibly have in it. Flour can contain bacteria which is why they always tell you not to eat cake and cookie dough batter.

What are the best sprinkles for this?

I find that rainbow jimmies work the best. They have less tendency to “bleed” their color into the mixture itself.

Does Funfetti Cake Dip dip need to be chilled before serving?

No it does not. This can be eaten right away. If you are not serving right away then I recommend placing in the refrigerator (covered )until you are ready to serve it.

What can I serve with Funfetti Dip?

There are so many different things that you can use to dip in this. Some of the ones we use are vanilla wafers, pretzels, fruit, graham crackers, animal crackers and more.

What if I can’t find the rainbow chip cake mix?

Just use any Funfetti style cake mix you can find. If those are not available, just go with a white or vanilla cake mix.

How do I store leftovers?

This can be stored in the refrigerator in an airtight container where it will last for 2-3 days. I do not recommend freezing.
