Easy Stromboli
Easy Pepperoni and Sausage Stromboli is made with refrigerated pizza crust, marinara, fillings and topped with a delicious cheese topping!
PEPPERONI AND SAUSAGE STROMBOLI RECIPE
My friends son recently said he was craving stromboli. So Amanda (his Mom) sends me a text and says “Do you have an easy recipe for Stromboli that Skye can make?” At the time I did not have an exact recipe with measurements but I had an idea of how to make an easy version of it. It turned out perfectly!
GOOEY CHEESE AND YUMMY FILLINGS
You can totally fill this stromboli with whatever ingredients your family loves. Personally, I would throw in some green peppers, onions and olives but since my family is totally allergic to any vegetable at all – I left it out of this particular version. 😉
INGREDIENTS NEEDED: (FULL RECIPE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE POST)
- refrigerated pizza dough (usually in a tube or package)
- marinara sauce
- sliced pepperoni
- sausage crumbles
- mozzarella cheese
- Italian seasoning
- melted butter
- dried basil
- shredded Parmesan cheese
HOW TO MAKE THIS EASY STROMBOLI:
Preheat oven to 350f. Spray a large baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray (or line with nonstick aluminum foil). Roll out pizza dough on the prepared baking sheet.
In the center of the dough, spread sauce
…sliced pepperoni
…sausage crumbles
…and mozzarella. Then sprinkle evenly with Italian seasoning.
Cut 1′′ thick strips all the way down each long side of dough from the edge of the filling to the outer edge of the dough to weave with.
“Braid” the bread by starting with the strips in each top corner, laying them over the filling and criss-crossing over each other.
Continue braiding and tuck the last braid under when you get to the end.
Brush the braided dough with melted butter.
Then bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown. (Some dough will take longer or should be baked at a higher temperature. Please check the directions on your pizza dough for temperature and cook times).
Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and dried basil. Cut diagonally and dig in!

Hi Brandie. I made this for a very late lunch today, and it is really good. Definitely something that I will make again when we need an easy and quick meal. (Although next time I think I’ll put some thinly sliced mushrooms on my side.) 🙂
