Who’s that girl?
My name is Brandie and I grew up as a Navy brat and then eventually I married a Navy man. My husband is out of the military now and we proudly call Virginia our home. I’m a wife and a Momma and all things in between. When I was a kid, I loved to put together food. I can remember the first thing I ever learned to cook was a fried egg. Then I moved up to crepes filled with grape jelly. At the age of 12, I thought that was very gourmet apparently.
Helping busy folks get food on the table
I got busy with work and life and for years I didn’t cook much at all. Then when my son was born, I was able to stay at home with him for a couple of years and I began to reacquaint myself with my kitchen and my love of cooking. I remembered all those things I loved about feeding the people I love. I’m a regular home cook, like most of you, doing my best to get a good meal on the table for my family. I like to say the recipes on here are recipes for the busy cook (you know who you are). You can still get a good meal on the table, with a few shortcuts to help you along the way. I hope you’ll find lots of recipes here that you’ll love and hopefully will become family favorites.
Do you have a cookbook?
This is a question I get asked a lot and I’m grateful so many people want to buy one from me! I do not have a published cookbook and there are LOTS of reasons why I haven’t done that – yet. Click HERE to read all about that and grab some recipes while you read. 🙂
