Easy Apple Cobbler (+Video)

This easy Apple Cobbler is so good thanks to an apple cinnamon muffin mix topping! Fresh apples and cinnamon make the most delicious filling!

SIMPLE INGREDIENTS WITH BIG FLAVOR

I really enjoy cobbler year round. This easy apple cobbler can really be switched up and made with your favorite fruits. It is so flavorful and unique thanks to the muffin mix topping!

TIPS FOR MAKING EASY APPLE COBBLER:

  • You don’t have to use the Martha White brand muffin mix. You can use any brand of apple muffin mix.
  • The cranberries and pecans are optional in this. Try switching it up with raisins and walnuts!
  • I’m using large Granny Smith apples here so each large apple yielded about 1 cup chopped. But if yours are smaller, you’ll need to have more to get up to 5 cups needed for this recipe.
  • Try serving this with a drizzle of Salted Caramel. It just takes the flavor to another level!

INGREDIENTS NEEDED: (FULL RECIPE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE POST)

  • green apples
  • dried cranberries
  • sugar
  • flour
  • ground cinnamon
  • butter
  • Martha White Apple Cinnamon Muffin Mix
  • chopped pecans

HOW TO MAKE EASY APPLE COBBLER:

Preheat oven to 375F degrees. Spray a 9×9 (2 quart) square baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Combine all your filling ingredients in a large bowl. Give it a good stir.

Pour mixture into prepared baking dish.

Now, for the topping. In a medium bowl, combine the Martha White Apple Cinnamon Muffin Mix with the melted butter. Stir well. Mixture will be very thick.

Drop cobbler topping by the tablespoonful over apple mixture. Do your best to dot it evenly all over. But don’t worry, it will spread out while baking.

Sprinkle top with chopped pecans, if using. Bake at 375F degrees for about 40 minutes (until bubbly and topping is golden brown.)

Scoop into bowls and serve. If you like, top with some whipped topping or vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of caramel sauce!

Ingredients

For the filling:

  • 5 green apples, peeled and cut into 1″ chunks
  • ½ cup dried cranberries, optional
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 Tablespoons butter cut into small cubes

For the topping:

  • 7 ounce packet Martha White Apple Cinnamon Muffin Mix
  • cup butter, melted
  • ¼ cup chopped pecans, optional

Instructions

    Just tried your Apple Cobbler recipe this weekend- My Folks are up from FLorida visiting, and I had them over for dinner and we had this for dessert We loved it!
