Copycat Applebee’s Blondies
Copycat Applebee’s Blondies with Maple Butter Sauce is the ultimate dessert. Soft, thick blondies with a delicious drizzle of creamy sauce!
THE MOST DELICIOUS COPYCAT RECIPE!
One of my family’s absolute favorite desserts is the blondie at Applebee’s. We have loved it for as long as I can remember and when they temporarily took it off the menu, I was heartbroken. The good news is that no matter if Applebee’s keeps this dessert item or not, you can still always make it at home!

TIPS FOR MAKING THESE COPYCAT APPLEBEE’S BLONDIES:
- I have a cheaters version of this recipe on the blog HERE. It uses cake mix and it is REALLY yummy! It doesn’t taste exactly like the one you get at Applebee’s but it is still a very good dessert.
- The recipe I am sharing today has that soft, cake-like texture that is more similar to the one you can get at Applebee’s. This one takes a bit more effort though but I think you’ll agree – it is totally worth it if you have the time!
- Also, this creamy maple butter sauce is SO GOOD! Don’t skip it!

INGREDIENTS NEEDED: (FULL RECIPE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE POST)
- egg whites
- unsalted butter, softened
- light brown sugar
- sugar
- vanilla extract
- all-purpose flour
- baking soda
- baking powder
- salt
- milk
- chopped walnuts
- butter
- cream cheese
- powdered sugar
- maple syrup
HOW TO MAKE COPYCAT APPLEBEE’S BLONDIES:
For the blondies: Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease a 9×13 pan with baking spray. In a large mixing bowl, whip the egg whites for 3-4 minutes with mixer and/or whip attachment.

Mix in butter, brown sugar, sugar and vanilla. The batter might look a little chunky, but beat until smooth.

In medium size bowl, sift the dry ingredients: flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Slowly, add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until combined.

Add milk and walnuts. Stir until they are incorporated. Pour the batter into the pan and bake 40 minutes. The blondies will turn golden brown and a toothpick in the center will come out clean. Once cooled, then you can slice the bars.

For the sauce: Mix everything together in a mixing bowl. Beat until combined. Use immediately or store in the fridge until the blondies are ready.
To Serve: Heat the blondies and sauce in the microwave until warm. Cut a square of blondies if not already cut and plate it. Top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Spoon sauce on top and sprinkle with walnuts.

THESE ARE SOOO GOOD!! I’ve made this recipe multiple times, and tastes EXACTLY the same as applebees blondie. They are so easy to make too!
Yay!! Love hearing that!! Thank you Brityn!
They are look so good I love to cook and to bake.
I too will be in tears if Applebee’s gets rid of the Maple Nut Blondies!!!!! This is going to be the first thing I try once the weather cools. Thinking I might freeze the blondies and to have them over a period of time. Will make smaller batches of the Maple Butter Sauce – since I live alone! THANK YOU!!!
Great recipe!
