A FALL-INSPIRED BLONDIE RECIPE
These apple blondies are always a huge hit with family and friends. I have a Granny Smith tree in my back yard and I end up making so many fresh apple recipes. This is one of my personal favorites!
TIPS FOR MAKING MAPLE GLAZED APPLE BLONDIES
- These blondies can be made and frozen to eat for later. Just wrap it up well so they don’t get freezer burned.
- Use any green apple for this recipe. Golden Delicious and Granny Smith work best.
- If you only have salted butter, just substitute it with unsalted butter and just skip the additional salt in this recipe.
INGREDIENTS NEEDED: (FULL RECIPE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE POST)
- light brown sugar
- unsalted butter
- maple syrup
- vanilla extract
- large eggs
- all-purpose flour
- salt
- baking soda
- Granny Smith apples
HOW TO MAKE MAPLE GLAZED APPLE BLONDIES:
Preheat oven to 350f degrees. Line a 13×9 baking pan with parchment paper. You want to make sure the parchment paper goes up the sides. It will help with removing the blondies after cooking.
In a large bowl, beat brown sugar, melted butter, syrup and vanilla until blended. Then beat in eggs.
In another bowl, whisk together flour, salt and baking soda.
Gradually add flour mixture into brown sugar mixture. Adding just a little at a time so the flour doesn’t fly everywhere.
Finally stir in chopped apples.
Spread mixture into the prepared baking dish. Bake for about 25-30 minutes.
Just before blondies are finished baking, prepare the glaze. In a small sauce pan, melt butter over medium-low heat.
Whisk in syrup and brown sugar. Bring mixture to a boil over medium heat. Cook and stir until slightly thickened. Remove from heat and cool slightly.
Pour glaze over warm blondies.
Spread it all over. Allow blondies to cool completely.
Then cut into 16 bars.
Serve with ice cream and maybe a little drizzled maple syrup on top!

Apple pastries with vanilla ice cream on top is a match made in heaven. It's like they were truly meant to be together. This, apple pie, apple dumplings… all great on their own, but on a whole new level with just some vanilla ice cream on top.
