Cake Mix Blondies (with Maple Butter Sauce)
These white chocolate Cake Mix Blondies with Maple Butter Sauce are a shortcut version of a favorite dessert at Applebee’s.
AN EASY BLONDIE RECIPE WITH A DELICIOUS SAUCE!
I am always looking for ways to make my favorite desserts a little faster. I have a ‘from-scratch’ recipe for this that I really enjoy. But I don’t make it that often because it takes more time and energy than I sometimes have. So this quicker recipe is my solution and yes, it starts off with a boxed cake mix.

TIPS FOR MAKING CAKE MIX BLONDIES
- If you absolutely insist on making it from scratch, give my Homemade. Blondie Recipe a try!
- Also, I am using white chocolate chips and walnuts but you can use any combination of chocolate chips or nuts that you enjoy. This is a fun recipe to experiment with and change up the flavors.
- If you’d like thicker blondies, just make in a smaller baking dish and adjust baking time accordingly.

INGREDIENTS NEEDED: (FULL RECIPE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE POST)
- yellow cake mix
- eggs
- unsalted butter
- white chocolate chips
- chopped walnuts
- sweetened condensed milk
- maple syrup
- butter

HOW TO MAKE CAKE MIX BLONDIES:
Preheat oven to 350F degrees. Spray 9×13-inch with nonstick cooking spray (I like to use the kind that has flour in it). In a medium bowl, combine cake mix, eggs and melted butter until combined. This will blend easier using an electric mixer.

Batter will be very thick.

Stir in white chocolate chips and walnuts (if using).

Spread mixture evenly into pan. I like to spray my hands with a little of the nonstick spray, and then spread it out using my hands. It just makes it much easier.

Bake for about 20-25 minutes, until golden brown and inserted toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool before cutting into squares

In a small bowl, using a whisk, combine sweetened condensed milk with melted butter and maple syrup.

Stir well. If you want to serve this sauce warm, just pop bowl into microwave for a few seconds until warm.

Serve blondie squares with ice cream and drizzle with warm maple butter sauce.
