Air Fryer Loaded Chicken and Potatoes
Air Fryer Loaded Chicken and Potatoes is a meal in one! Chicken, potatoes mixed with seasonings and topped with melted cheese and bacon!.
A WHOLE MEAL MADE IN THE AIR FRYER
I am bringing you another easy and delicious air fryer meal-in-one! I have received amazing feedback since posting the recipe for Air Fryer Potatoes and Sausage! Mostly, folks were telling me they loved being able to make an entire meal in the air fryer and not just a side dish.
TIPS FOR MAKING THIS AIR FRYER MEAL:
- If you are using large chicken breasts, you’ll only need two for this recipe
- Potatoes will be fork tender when done and chicken should reach an internal temperature of 165f degrees.
- Make sure to occasionally shake the basket while cooking. This will help to ensure that everything gets evenly cooked.
- Add additional veggies that your family loves. Broccoli, green peppers and cauliflower work wonderful in this.
- Mix up the seasoning for variety. Instead of the seasoned salt, try using a RANCH DRESSING MIX or TACO SEASONING!
INGREDIENTS NEEDED: (FULL RECIPE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE POST)
- baby potatoes
- small onion
- chicken breasts
- seasoned salt
- garlic powder
- black pepper
- shredded cheddar cheese
- cooked bacon pieces
- sliced green onion
HOW TO MAKE AIR FRYER LOADED CHICKEN AND POTATOES:
Slice potatoes in half. Then cut up onion into large chunks.
Next, dice chicken up into 1-inch chunks.
Place potatoes, onion and chicken into a gallon-size zip top bag. Pour in oil, seasoned salt, garlic powder and black pepper.
Seal up bag and move potatoes and onions around until they are thoroughly coated in oil and seasoning.
Spray the basket of a 6-quart air fryer with nonstick cooking spray. Pour coated potatoes, onions and chicken into basket. Cook at 400f degrees for about 20 minutes. Shake the mixture about halfway through.
After cooking, sprinkle cheese on top of cooked potatoes and chicken. Then add the bacon on top. Close air fryer and cook for another 5 minutes (at 400f degrees.)

We just got a 4 quart air fryer as a gift and would love to try this recipe,do you think it would work?
Hi Marsha, I think you should be okay with a 4 quart. As long as the basket isn’t over-full then it should be fine.

Question 560k calories, like 560000????!!!!!
It means kilocalories
So when you place chicken potatoes and onion in air fryer basket, do you do air fry function or bake function for the 20 min? I know when it’s done you do air fryer function for 5 min wirh cheese on top! But I wasn’t sure when you first add it in to cook chicken and such!
Hey Nicole, yes you are going to use the air fryer function on this – not the bake function if you have that on your air fryer. Hope that helps@
OMG! this meal was so delicious I couldn’t stop eating. Very simple to do but OH wonderful.
Can you make this in a crockpot?
I would think so. I don’t have an Air Fryer but convert these recipes for stove, oven or crockpot.
Such a delicious meal! Thanks for sharing.
Brandie,
I don’t have an air fryer. You’re recipe sounds great. I’m wondering if you could put it in foil and bake it in a conventional oven.
Whatcha think?
Hi Terri! You absolutely could do that. Just use the same cooking times and temperature for the oven. 🙂
This was great. Even my “chicken hating” (LOL!) husband loved it. I’m always looking for recipes to try in my air fryer oven. Thank you for sharing the recipe.
