FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

What size cups do I need?

I use 2-ounce plastic cups for this recipe which makes a larger portion of about 27 pudding shots.

What kind of Bourbon is best?

Jim Beam is my go-to bourbon but you can use any of your favorites.

Can I make my own whipped topping?

Yes you can. Feel free to make your own favorite recipe or try my recipe for Cinnamon Whipped Cream. It would taste amazing on these shots! Otherwise you can use Cool Whip or canned whipped topping as well.

Can I use homemade eggnog?

Yes, if you have a recipe for homemade eggnog it will work just fine. Both store bought and homemade will work with this recipe.

Do I have to use the cinnamon and nutmeg?

I find that these two spices really bring out the flavor of everything and make it really festive. You could also use pumpkin pie spice as a substitute.

How do I store leftovers?

These can be stored in the refrigerator with the lid on where they will keep for up to 5 days. They can also be frozen. Place lidded containers in a freezer container where they will keep for up to 3 months. They are great frozen, but to defrost, remove to the refrigerator overnight until thawed.
