Copycat Orange Julius
This Copycat Orange Julius recipe is just like the frothy orange drink you remember from the 80’s in the mall food court. So good and easy!
YOUR FAVORITE MALL DRINK
Do you remember Orange Julius? It brings back a lot of memories of the 80’s for me. I suppose some malls still have an Orange Julius stand. All the ones by me closed years ago. But they were famous for their most popular drink, the Orange Julius. It’s a cool, frothy, orange-tastic drink, with a touch of vanilla. Now, this may not be exactly how it was made back in those days but it sure tastes like it!

CAN I USE OTHER FLAVORS?
Absolutely! This works with concentrated lemonade as well! A great way to switch up the flavors. Plus, it whips up in a snap so it is perfect for a quick summer sweet treat. If you love that creamsicle flavor, then you are sure to love this! No trip to the mall required! I hope it brings back some memories for you as it did for me!

INGREDIENTS NEEDED: (FULL RECIPE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE POST)
- frozen orange juice concentrate
- milk
- water
- sugar
- vanilla extract
- ice cubes

HOW TO MAKE AN ORANGE JULIUS:
Put all your ingredients into the blender. I like to put the liquids in first, then the ice, because my blender seems to mix it up best that way.

Don’t forget to put the lid on! Then process all ingredients together until frothy.

Pour into glasses. Makes 4 servings. Look at that frosty goodness. Yum!

I have never heard of Gooseberry Patch but I sure do love Sourhern Cooking. M favorite meal is homemade buttermilk biscuits and sausage gravy… I still haven't mastered this but that's when I go and enjoy a batch a my Mama's or Nanny's!! Yummy!! 🙂
My favorite breakfast meal is sausage gravy and biscuits! My mom and dad were born and raised in McCoy, VA (yes, mom was a McCoy). She would make this for us sometimes and, as an adult, I noticed she never ate it – she said it was because she ate so much of it as a child – little money but homemade sausage from their own hogs and milk from their own cows made it an economical meal for them 🙂
My favorite as a kid was pecan waffles and hashbrowns but now the kiddos and I enjoy vanilla pancakes and bacon. 🙂

Well, it's an old standby. But I do make some awesome french toast and home fries! It always pains me how often I find myself grumbling at a restaurant about the lack of taste in their breakfast meals. Especially home fries! Oh well, maybe I should open my own place 🙂

I love to go out for breakfast but don't get to much since hubby is a night owl and likes to sleep in. Belgian waffle with fresh strawberries and whipped cream if I'm in the mood for something sweet. Eggs over medium with corned beef hash & toast with Cholula…since I don't do Tabasco.
I really enjoy going out to breakfast and when I do go I love having something sweet with something savory.
I wish I could offer my family an exciting breakfast like that.
Eggs Benedict over a smoked pork chop with home fries! Yummmm. Oh and don't forget a great cup of hot coffee!
