FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Yes, I like Hawaiian Rolls as they give a subtle hint of sweetness, but any other slider roll can be used if that is something you prefer. Hawaiian Rolls now have a butter version as well that would work great with these. Or you can use regular dinner rolls.
Of course! Just make sure you slice it nice and thin for the sliders.
As you see in my pictures, I enjoyed my sliders with some Arby’s Curly Fries that you can get in the freezer aisle at the local grocery store. But you can serve it with regular French Fries, chips, tater tots or with some steamed veggies or your favorite salad.
Leftover sandwiches can be stored in an airtight container and can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days. Keep in mind, they will get a bit soggy. You can reheat in the air fryer, toaster oven or cover and reheat in the oven.

INGREDIENTS NEEDED: (SEE RECIPE CARD BELOW FOR THE FULL RECIPE)
- Hawaiian sweet rolls – it doesn’t have to be the name brand. A lot of stores carry their own store brand version of these now. Or see my Frequently Asked Questions above for other options.
- Arby’s Sauce– or Country French Dressing. If you didn’t know, most grocery stores sell Arby’s sauce now, or you can make some Homemade Arby’s Sauce pretty easily.
- thinly sliced roast beef – if you are able, go to the deli counter of your grocery store and asked for shaved roast beef. It will be super thin and perfect for sliders. If not, just purchase the thinnest kind you can find.
- cheese sauce– Any of your favorite nacho cheese sauce will work. If you want something more plain, you could use a plain cheese sauce, like Cheez Whiz or just melt some Velveeta. Make sure it’s enough to cover the rolls. If you’re feeling up to it, you can make a Homemade Cheese Sauce from scratch.
- butter – you can use salted or unsalted butter. I used salted.
- poppy seeds – if you don’t already have some, don’t go out and buy any just for this. Just skip it.
- dried minced onions– you’ll find this in the spices aisle of the grocery store. This is what gives it that Arby’s Beef and Cheddar flavor (the onion buns.)

HOW TO MAKE ARBY’S BEEF AND CHEDDAR SLIDERS:
Slice Hawaiian Rolls lengthwise so there is a top and bottom half. Preheat the oven to 350F degrees. Spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. Place the bottom half of the Hawaiian rolls into the pan. Spread the cheese sauce evenly onto the bottom half of the rolls. Then evenly layer the thinly sliced roast beef on top of the cheese layer. Drizzle the top of the roast beef with Arby’s sauce.

Place the top half of the Hawaiian rolls on top. In a small microwave safe bowl, melt the butter in the microwave in 20 second intervals until fully melted. To the bowl, add the poppy seeds and minced onion and stir. Brush the butter mix all over the rolls.

Bake uncovered in the oven and bake for about 15 minutes or until golden brown on top. Then slice into 12 rolls and serve with more Arby’s sauce.
