This easy recipe for Crock Pot Sweet Tea Glazed Ham is so tender and delicious. It's topped with a sweet glaze on a bone-in spiral ham!
A DELICIOUS CROCK POT HAM
Crock Pot Sweet Tea Glazed Ham might sound like a strange combination of flavors or ingredients but it works surprisingly well. The slight saltiness of the ham combined with the thick, sweetness of the glaze makes a delicious balance of flavors.

HOW DO I PICK THE RIGHT HAM?
I'm using a bone-in ham here. You just have to make sure you don't get such a huge ham that it won't fit in your slow cooker. Also, you could totally use a boneless, unsliced ham. It all works the same.

INGREDIENTS NEEDED: (FULL RECIPE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE POST)
- fully cooked (smoked) spiral cut bone-in ham
- prepared sweet tea
- brown sugar (dark or light)
- whole cloves
- cinnamon sticks

HOW TO MAKE CROCK POT HAM:
Unwrap ham from all of the packaging. Place the ham into a deep 8-quart slow cooker. If your slow cooker isn't deep or wide enough, you won't be able to put the lid on.

Whisk together the sweet tea and brown sugar into a small sauce pan.

Whisk together well then pour half of this mixture on top of the ham, setting aside the rest of the liquid for later. Drop 5 of the cloves into the bottom of the slow cooker along with a stick of cinnamon. Place lid on crock pot and cook on low for 4-6 hours.

About 20 minutes before serving the ham, boil the rest of the liquid you set aside earlier. Drop in the last 5 cloves and remaining cinnamon stick. Whisk it well. Reduce heat to medium low and glaze is bubbly and thickened (about 15 minutes) stirring occasionally.

Once thickened, remove cinnamon sticks and cloves from the glaze. Then pour glaze over ham or use a basting brush to gently brush it all over the cooked ham.

Then serve!

Please forgive my northern ignorance, but would one of you Southern ladies, give me a GOOD sweet tea recipe. I know you know this from the cradle, but I don't, and could use some advice to make this ham as good as the recipe promises. Help, please? lol. Thank you for your gracious response(s). : )

Made this for Easter at our church potluck. We needed like 5 hams so I made this version. Needless to say, I came home empty-handed. Ha! So good!

This ham was so good and moist. I had some sweet tea glazed chicken when on vacation in Charleston and have been trying to replicate it ever since. Pinned.
