FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Tequila is the main liquor in margaritas.
No, traditionally they have salt on the rim but you can also use coarse sugar or just omit the salt completely.
Absolutely yes, this is the perfect make ahead drink. Blend everything together and pour into a pitcher and place in the refrigerator until you are ready to serve.
Easy peasy! What you will want to do is use frozen strawberries instead of fresh and then proceed with the remaining ingredients and then blend it up in your blender until smooth!
Triple sec liqueur (like Cointreau) works beautifully with tequila. Triple sec has a slight orange flavor that pairs so well with tequila. Combine that with blended strawberries and agave syrup and you have the perfect margarita!
I highly recommend using fresh. Especially since there are so few ingredients in the recipe that bottled lime juice really throws off the flavor and it ruins that fresh flavor we are going for.
Of course! Some great flavor ideas would be pineapple, mango, watermelon, peach, raspberry and more. Just use your favorite fruit and go from there.
You can store the margarita mixture covered in the refrigerator where it will keep for up to 3 days.

Hello Brandie:
I read your directions above three times… you say to use frozen strawberries and then in the actual recipe you say to use fresh? Please clarify would you?
No I say you can use frozen strawberries if you want a frozen margarita. This recipe is for a margarita on the rocks 🙂
