HOT CHOCOLATE FOR ADULTS
This easy adult-only beverage recipe for Spiked Hot Chocolate uses flavored vodka to create a super tasty hot cocoa that is guaranteed to warm you up from the inside out!
TIPS FOR MAKING THIS ALCOHOLIC HOT COCOA:
- This recipe is for a stronger chocolate flavor. The amount of hot cocoa powder or chocolate vodka can be adjusted to taste.
- This drink can also be served cold and is just as delicious! Put it in a blender with some ice for a Frozen Vodka Hot Chocolate!
- This recipe makes one serving.
- I like to top this with whipped cream but some other topping options are mini marshmallows, mini chocolate chips or Salted Caramel! For a holiday touch, try adding a stick of peppermint into your mug.
- Try switching out the different flavors. This recipe works well with Bailey’s Irish Cream, Kahlua or your favorite rum or bourbon.

- hot milk
- hot chocolate powder milk
- chocolate vodka
- whipped cream vodka
HOW TO MAKE SPIKED HOT CHOCOLATE:
In a small saucepan, or in a microwave safe mug, heat milk to desired temperature for hot cocoa. Stir in cocoa powder until it is completely dissolved.
Add in chocolate and whipped cream vodkas, stirring to mix well.
Top with whipped cream or marshmallows.
