TIPS AND TRICKS FOR MAKING STUFFED PRETZEL BITES:

  • You can use pork or beef cocktail sausages in this recipe.
  • The baking soda and boiling water mixture help these become actual pretzels and obtain their texture and color.
  • Do not skip topping with salt, that is essential to pretzels and makes them go from boring to amazing!
  • We use refrigerated pizza dough for this but you can use homemade as long as it weighs 1 pound.
  • HONEY MUSTARD is our favorite dipping sauce for this, but others like a cheese sauce or ranch dressing.

Hello Superbowl! I was just thinking today that I need to make a few appies for hubby (and me!) for the game and he will ADORE these. I will try to come up with a different sausage, as I am a non-beef or pork eater. There are some turkey & chicken options out there that might work. Thanks for the recipe!
