TIPS FOR MAKING ITALIAN SLOPPY JOES:

  • You can go with a sweet Italian ground sausage or spicy. It all depends on your family’s preference.
  • My favorite spaghetti sauce is Rao’s Tomato and Basil sauce but please use your family’s favorite spaghetti sauce or marinara sauce.
  • We prefer the soft brioche buns for this. Sometimes you can find them in the bakery section of your grocery store. Regular hamburger buns can be used.
  • Want to make it extra decadent? Try adding a slice of mozzarella cheese to your sandwiches!

Delicious as always! I was looking for some way to use some Italian sausage I had in the freezer, and this was perfect. Quick to put together and everyone enjoyed it. I served it with a side of fresh steamed broccoli.

One twist: I had a bag of farm-style shredded 4 cheese Italian blend, so I sprinkled a little on top of each sandwich just before putting on the top bun and serving. Would definitely recommend. Thanks so much for sharing!

This looks good and so easy to make… and will try in the future but I’m wondering why when I print off your recipes that they aren’t printing the “pictures”. This just started recently… in the past they always printed off when I printed the recipes… so just wondering. Thanks! 🙂

Looks delish and something I can make at the last minute, when hubby returns from hunting! I never know when to expect him so this will be perfect. Thanks!
