Crack Chicken Dip
This Crack Chicken Dip recipe is a warm, creamy dip made with shredded chicken, cream cheese, ranch seasoning, bacon and cheese!
AN ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS DIP RECIPE
This crack chicken dip recipe is a huge family favorite. My little family can easily eat this entire dish all by ourselves. Who can resist creamy melted cheese and bacon?!

This dip went over well for the stay at our Christmas Eve party. I made the recipe as stated and it’s very good, what’s better than chicken, bacon and cheese? I will make again!

TIPS FOR MAKING THIS WARM CHICKEN DIP:
- This appetizer is made easy by using store-bought rotisserie chicken. Or you could use two cans of drained chicken.
- Also, you can save time by using the packages of real bacon pieces.
- If you prefer, you can make your own Homemade Ranch Dressing.
- This tastes delicious with crackers or your favorite veggie sticks.
INGREDIENTS NEEDED: (SEE RECIPE CARD BELOW FOR THE FULL RECIPE)
- cream cheese – if you forgot to put your cream cheese out to soften, see my tips on How To Soften Cream Cheese Quickly.
- sour cream
- ranch seasoning mix – you can make your own Homemade Ranch Seasoning if you prefer.
- green onions
- thick cut bacon – if all you have is regular cut bacon, that is totally fine.
- colby jack cheese – you can use any combination of cheese you enjoy. For a bit of kick, try using a pepper jack cheese.
- sharp cheddar cheese
- shredded chicken – you can even make this with canned chicken (drained really well) – about 2 cans.
HOW TO MAKE CRACK CHICKEN DIP:
Preheat the oven to 350°F. In a large bowl add the cream cheese and with a hand mixer, mix until smooth.
Add in the sour cream and ranch seasoning, mix to combine. Add in the green onions and bacon, mix to combine. Add in 1 ½ cups of the colby monterey jack cheese and 1 ½ cups of the cheddar cheese, mix to combine.
Finally add in the chicken and mix. Stir everything one last time with a spatula to make sure it’s mixed well and spoon it into a 1-quart baking dish, smoothing out the top.
Bake for 20 minutes, top with the remaining cheeses and bake for 5 more minutes to melt.
Serve immediately with dippers of your choice and a parsley garnish, optional.
