AN EASY APPLE DESSERT
I love little dessert recipes like this Cinnamon Apple Pull Apart Bread! They’re impressive but so easy to make. It’s easy thanks to the refrigerated canned biscuits but we add a touch of homemade with the fresh apple, cinnamon and pecans.

TIPS FOR MAKING CINNAMON APPLE PULL-APART BREAD:
- Adding some dried cranberries would be really tasty.
- You can leave out the chopped pecans or switch it out with chopped walnuts or even macadamia nuts.
- Maybe add in some white chocolate chips or caramel bits.
- You could also leave out the apples and just have it has a cinnamon roll bread.

INGREDIENTS NEEDED: (FULL RECIPE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE POST)
- green apple
- ground cinnamon
- sugar
- light brown sugar
- vanilla extract
- refrigerated biscuits
- salted butter
- chopped pecans
- powdered sugar
- milk

HOW TO MAKE APPLE CINNAMON PULL-APART BREAD:
Preheat the oven to 350F degrees. Spray a loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray. Mix together the diced apple with half the cinnamon, sugar, and brown sugar. Stir in vanilla extract. Set aside. In a separate small bowl, mix together the remaining, cinnamon, sugar, brown sugar and pecans. Set aside.

Open the can of biscuits and cut each biscuit lengthwise in half, so you end up with double the amount of biscuits.

Spread them out on a clean surface. Brush each biscuit piece with a little melted butter and sprinkle each with the cinnamon sugar pecan mixture (that you stirred together in the small bowl.

Next, sprinkle on the diced apple mixture to each biscuit piece. You may not use all the diced apples or some might slip out while stacking. Those can be used on top before baking.

Stack the biscuits up in three different rows.

Place them in a long row in a loaf pan.

Brush the top with a little more melted butter, then sprinkle on any remaining apples and pecans.

Bake at 350F degrees for 25-30 minutes. Note: If the top is brown and baked but the inside isn’t fully baked yet, cover the loaf pan with foil and bake an additional 10-15 minutes.

Whisk together the powdered sugar, milk and vanilla extract until smooth. You may need to add more milk to get it to the thickness that you like.

Drizzle the baked bread with powdered sugar icing.

Then serve!

can this recipe be made with can apple pie filling?
Ho JoNell! I haven’t tried it but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work! 🙂
Can I prep this the night before and bake the next morning? I’m wondering if the apples will release too much moisture and make it soggy…
Hi Priya, I haven’t tried it so I honestly couldn’t say for sure. It’s possible the apples will brown and release moisture and it might come out weird. I don’t think I would chance it…
can you do this recipe some way with lemon
I want to make this but I noticed that vanilla was added on the video but not listed on the ingredients. How much vanilla do we use? Thanks.
Maybe it’s supposed to be used in a powdered sugar icing?
Hi Mary Jane! You are right – I totally forgot to add that when I wrote up the recipe for the site. I added it on. Thanks for catching that!
Oh my goodness, this looks amazing. I will definitely have to try it out!
How easy….my kind of recipe! What size loaf pan did you use? Pinned.
Hi Mary! It was a 4-cup loaf pan but you could use a 6-cup loaf pan if that’s what you have. 🙂
