FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Can you bake eggs in the oven?

Yes, prepare a 9×9-inch baking dish by rubbing a Tablespoon of butter all over the bottom and up the sides. Whisk the eggs together with the milk, chives, and pepper then pour this mixture into the baking dish. They may go into the 350 degree oven (along with the sausage) but will only need to bake for up to 10 minutes. Take them out as soon as they are set then scramble them up a bit with a fork.

Can I use sausage patties instead of ground pork sausage?

Yes, I would cook the patties and then try to place them evenly in a layer over the cheese. I like using ground pork sausage cooked in a block because then there are no gaps. You could also cook some ground sausage on the stovetop and then sprinkle it evenly over the cheese.

Can I use another cheese?

Yes! If you want to switch it up then using different cheeses is perfectly fine. I just recommend that you use freshly shredded cheese.

Do I have to brush these with maple syrup?

No, this is optional. It really tastes great paired with the savory of the sandwich. But if you are not a fan of syrup on savory foods, you can just brush with melt butter.

Could I make these up the night before?

Yes! I would recommend fully assembling them and then placing the tray of sliders into the fridge. Then you may bake them in the morning and they will be as good as fresh!

How do I store leftover breakfast sliders?

While these are best fresh you can store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1-2 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave until heated through.
