A FAST & FLAVORFUL PORK CHOP DINNER
I know, it’s another pork chop recipe – ha! Can you tell I got a good deal on boneless pork chops recently? We love pork chops in my family so I am always thinking of different ways to make them! So easy to whip up and conveniently fast. The tangy homemade bbq sauce mixture is what really steals the show in this recipe though. Don’t want to make homemade BBQ sauce? That’s ok, just use your favorite store-bought. So much flavor without a ton of effort. Such an easy meal to add to your meal plan this week!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Yes! Sear them on the stovetop first, then transfer to a 375°F oven and bake until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (the time can range anywhere from 15-20 minutes.)
Absolutely! Just skip the homemade sauce steps and brush on your favorite bottled sauce instead.
Use a meat thermometer to ensure the pork reaches 145°F at the thickest point.
Yes. Just season the pork chops and put them in the slow cooker. Make the BBQ sauce and pour it on top. Cover and cook on low for about 4-6 hours.
Yes, I’d make these Grilled Pork Chops and add the brushed on barbecue sauce from this recipe. You could even season these first like we do here and then grill them using that linked recipe above.
Serve them with mixed veggies, potatoes, coleslaw, or simple French fries. They’d also be delicious with Grilled Corn, Cole Slaw, Potato Salad, or Macaroni Salad.
Here are some simple variations that you can try.
Pork chops: Swap for bone-in chops, adjusting cook time as needed.
Apple juice: Use orange juice or water with a bit more honey.
Worcestershire sauce: Substitute with soy sauce for a different depth of flavor.
You absolutely can. Recently, I brined pork chops when I made my Oven Baked Pork Chops and realized how much of a game changer it is. You don’t have to worry about overcooking them or drying them out when you brine pork chops first before cooking them.
BBQ Pork Chops should be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
To Reheat: Warm pork chops in a skillet over medium heat or microwave until heated through.
To Freeze: Place cooled pork chops in a freezer-safe bag or container. Freeze up to 2 months. Thaw in fridge overnight before reheating.

INGREDIENTS NEEDED: (SEE RECIPE CARD BELOW FOR THE FULL RECIPE)
- boneless pork chops – you could use bone-in if you want. I just prefer them at least 1/2-inch thick.
- salt and pepper
- dried thyme
- ground cumin
- honey – you could use agave as well.
- apple juice– instead of apple juice, I shared another option that you can use in the Frequently Asked Questions section above.
- Worcestershire sauce– this can be swapped out for something else. I shared another option that you can try above in the questions area.
- tomato paste
- molasses – this is part of making the Homemade BBQ Sauce. You can skip it if you don’t have it. It does add a nice deep flavor though.
- apple cider vinegar
- garlic – I prefer fresh garlic for the best garlic flavor but you can use the jarred stuff if that is what you have on hand.

HOW TO MAKE BBQ PORK CHOPS:
In a small saucepan, combine honey, apple juice, Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste, molasses, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, ground cumin, and red pepper flakes (if using). Bring to a simmer over medium-low heat and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally until slightly thickened. Remove from heat and set aside.

In a small bowl, mix salt, pepper, dried thyme, and ground cumin.

Pat pork chops dry with paper towels. Rub both sides of pork chops with oil, then sprinkle the seasoning mixture evenly over both sides.

Heat a grill pan over medium-high heat until hot. Add the seasoned pork chops and cook for 4 to 5 minutes on each side.

During the last minute of cooking, brush the BBQ sauce generously over both sides of the pork chops.

Cook until pork reaches an internal temperature of 145°F. Remove from heat and let rest for 3minutes before serving. Serve with remaining BBQ sauce brushed over the top.
