A FAST PORK CHOP DINNER RECIPE
No jokes here, these super simple, Quick Skillet Pork Chops are the perfect dinner recipe. I’m talking dinner ready in 15 minute from start to finish! Does it get any easier or faster than that? Pork chops are one of the more affordable cuts of meat (not cheap of course – absolutely nothing is cheap these days, right? ) but they can be a better deal if you can get them on sale or have the means to buy in bulk. I promise these are very easy to make, have great flavor and they go with practically any of your favorite side dishes.

No. I like making this in a cast iron skillet as the pork chops get a great golden color to them. However, you could use a different skillet, the chops just might not get as beautifully golden brown in color.
Sure, you could double or even triple this. You’ll have to work in batches to cook the pork chops, but this is an easy recipe to scale to feed more people. Great for making extra for meal prepping too.
Certainly. This is just a basic seasoning but this recipe would work with any of your favorite seasoning blends to change it up (Mrs. Dash Herb Blend (for a salt free option); Cajun Seasoning (like Slap Ya Mama) or BBQ Seasoning)
You know I’m generally all about simplicity with recipes. I didn’t have a brining step with these pork chops to keep this recipe quick and simple. However, after making my Crispy Oven Baked Pork Chops recently where I did brine them, it’s something that I would recommend you try IF you have the time. Brining the pork chops helps lower the odds that your pork chops will dry out. Granted it’s easier for them to dry out in the oven, but brining does help them stay juicy if you accidentally overcook them. To help avoid overcooking them, always use a meat thermometer (paid affiliate link) to ensure they get to proper temperature and you pull them off the heat on time. Pork chops thickness can vary which means some cuts will cook faster than others.
Keep leftovers in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Warm them up in a skillet on low heat or use the microwave for a quick reheating option.

INGREDIENTS NEEDED: (SEE RECIPE CARD BELOW FOR THE FULL RECIPE)
- oil – use your preferred oil. Vegetable, olive or avocado oil can all be used. You just want one with a higher smoke point so it doesn’t burn.
- thick-cut boneless pork chops – I think these are best to use when making pork chops in a skillet. There is less of a chance of them drying out.
- paprika – this is going to give it great color so don’t skip!
- onion powder and garlic powder
- salt and pepper
- red pepper flakes – this is optional. I actually don’t think this makes it spicy at all since they are so mild but obviously go with your perforce.

HOW TO MAKE QUICK SKILLET PORK CHOPS:
Add the oil to a skillet. Allow the oil to get hot over medium heat. This will take about 2-3 minutes. Season both sides of the pork chops with all of the dried ingredients. Transfer the pork chops to the skillet. Cook each side for 2 to 6 minutes, depending on how thick they are. Thinner pork chops will take 2-3 minutes per side, whereas thicker pork chops will take 5-6 minutes per side. You want an internal temperature of 145° F.

Top with fresh parsley.

- 4 thick-cut boneless pork chops
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 Tablespoon chopped parsley (or dried parsley, optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Add 1 Tablespoon oil. Allow the oil to get hot over medium heat. This will take about 2-3 minutes.
- In a small bowl, mix together 1 teaspoon paprika, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon black pepper and ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes, Season both sides of 4 thick-cut boneless pork chops with this mixture. Transfer the pork chops to the skillet.

- Cook each side for 2 to 6 minutes, depending on how thick they are. Thinner pork chops will take 2-3 minutes per side, whereas thicker pork chops will take about 5-6 minutes per side. However, do not just go by time (so you don't overcook or undercook). You want an internal temperature of 145° F.

- Top with 1 Tablespoon chopped parsley (optional). Then serve!
