Easy Honey Garlic Glazed Chicken
This holiday season, we’re celebrating pollinators (bees!) for the role they play in bringing squash, cranberries, honey, pumpkins, apples and more to our tables as we gather with friends and family! Bees pollinate many fruits, nuts and vegetables that we eat and enjoy every day!
Today, bees are facing a food shortage of their own and need better access to pollen and nectar sources. Bees need diverse food just like we do! They eat nectar and pollen from flowers but reduced forage has decreased food options for bees at time when we all must work together to feed more people. Pollinators need access to diverse sources of food to be properly nourished and to be able to withstand pests and disease.
Feed the bees
As bees feed us, we can help feed them. The good news is, you can help! No matter what time of year, whether you own acres of land or just a flower pot on your back deck, everyone can lend a hand by planting pollinator-attractant flowers that supply the pollen and nectar they need.
Help the #FeedABee initiative plant flowers in all 50 states to feed bees and other pollinators. #FeedABee is a national effort to plant more flowers and forage for honey bees and other pollinators. Visit FeedABee.com to learn more and join me in using the hashtag #FeedABee to spread awareness and help feed the pollinators that help feed us!
Buuuzzzzzz: Did you know you can apply for a #FeedABee Forage Grant? You don’t need to be a huge organization! Maybe your community is interested in planting a plot for bees or maybe your school wants to be more involved in your bee community. Click HERE to learn more and to apply.

Just pick up a bag of your favorite popcorn chicken and make this delicious honey glaze and dinner is served!
2 lbs frozen popcorn chicken
Honey Garlic Glaze:
1 tbsp butter (salted or unsalted)
2 tbsp minced garlic
1/2 cup honey
1/3 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/3 cup soy sauce
1 tsp red pepper flakes
4 tbsp water
1/3 cup sliced green onion, for garnish
Cook popcorn chicken according to package directions.
Prepare glaze while chicken is cooking. In a large skillet, over medium heat, sauté the garlic in butter for about a minute. Whisk in soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, red chili pepper flakes, ginger powder and water.
Bring to a boil, whisking regularly. Reduce heat and let simmer for about 5 minutes until glaze thickens slightly. Toss warm, cooked popcorn chicken in glaze. This is easiest to do right in the skillet.
Serve glazed chicken over rice (optional) and garnish with sliced green onion.
