A DELICIOUS DRUMSTICK RECIPE
Chicken Drumsticks are such a fun handheld food. They are also a very inexpensive cut of chicken so they are budget-friendly (especially if you need to feed a lot of people!) These drumsticks have a deliciously simple marinade that really brings so much flavor to the chicken. Serve it with various side dishes and you have yourself a complete meal. TIPS FOR MAKING HONEY GARLIC BAKED DRUMSTICKS:
- You can add some of your favorite chopped vegetables to this dish if you’d like to make if more of a meal-in-one.
- Some side dish serving options are: mashed potatoes, rice, macaroni and cheese or whatever you think would work well with the flavors!
- If you don’t like dark meat, you can swap out the drumsticks with 3 large chicken breasts.
- Marinating overnight for this recipe is best, but if you don’t have time, you can make it right away but it won’t have the same flavor.

- chicken drumsticks
- olive oil
- honey
- onions
- garlic
- ginger root
- pepper and sea salt
- chili flakes
HOW TO MAKE HONEY GARLIC BAKED DRUMSTICKS:
In a medium bowl, combine all marinade ingredients, mix well and set aside.
Place the chicken in a 11 x 7-inch baking dish with onions. Spoon marinade over the top of dish.
Marinate and massage for 5 minutes. Cover with aluminum foil or plastic wrap. Leave overnight in the refrigerator.
Preheat the oven to 375F degrees. Remove aluminum foil or plastic wrap and place the baking dish in the middle of the oven for 40 – 45 minutes. Chicken must be nicely brown. Leave a bit longer if you want some crispiness on top.
Remove from the oven, garnish with chives and sesame seeds (optional). Serve with the juice from the dish and your favorite side dish.
HOW TO STORE:
- You can store this Honey Garlic Baked Drumstick Recipe in the refrigerator, in an airtight container, for up to 3-4 days.
- This can also be frozen. Place in airtight containers or freezer bags and place in freezer where it should keep for up to three months. Defrost in the refrigerator overnight.

- 2 medium red onions quartered
- 8 cloves garlic
- 1 Tablespoon finely minced ginger root, (or 1/2 tsp of ground ginger)
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 Tablespoon dried red pepper flakes
- chopped chives, for garnish (optional)
- sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
