FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

How long does my dough need to chill?

This will be chilling in different intervals. In total the dough will need to chill for 45 minutes.

How many cookies does this make?

This depends on how thin or thick you cut them, but if you cut them in 1/2-inch rounds this recipe will make a total of 16 cookies.

Can I use other colors of food coloring?

Yes absolutely! You can use any color that you’d like for many different occasions or holidays.

What kind of food coloring is best?

I find that gel food coloring yields the best color as it is more concentrated and you don’t have to use as much. You can use regular liquid food coloring but you will need to use more to achieve a rich, saturated color.

Can I just use store-bought sugar cookie dough?

Yes. I would buy two packages through to make sure you have enough dough for this recipe.

How do I store leftovers?

These can be stored in an airtight container where they will keep for up to one week. They can also be frozen. Place cooled cookies in a freezer bag or container and they will keep for up to 6 months. To defrost, remove to countertop or refrigerator.
