Mix-It-Up Christmas Candy Bark

Mix-It-Up Christmas Candy Bark uses Oreo Cookies, M&M’s, pretzels, vanilla and chocolate almond bark to make a sweet and salty holiday treat!

I really love recipes like this next one. It’s another favorite no-bake recipe for the holidays. But let’s be honest, it really is appropriate for any time of year! The beauty of this recipe is that there really are no hard and fast rules. You can play with the recipe and add in whatever you really enjoy. It’s that sweet and salty combination of flavors that always works best.

TIPS FOR GIFT GIVING:

  • Stack pieces in a clear plastic gift bag, and tie at the top with a cute tag!
  • Or stack small pieces in a clear gift bag, tie with a cute tag, and set in a mug for a cute teacher gift.

INGREDIENTS NEEDED: (FULL RECIPE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE POST)

  • vanilla candy coating (like Candiquik)
  • chocolate candy coating
  • roughly chopped Mint OREO cookies
  • roughly chopped pretzels
  • M&M’s
  • crushed candy canes or peppermints (optional)
  • Goldfish crackers
  • festive sprinkles of choice
  • parchment paper

Cook’s Note: We really enjoyed the Goldfish and pretzels in this but you can change it up with your salty treats!

HOW TO MAKE CHRISTMAS CANDY BARK:

Lay out a large sheet of parchment paper on a baking sheet. In a large bowl, mix together Oreo cookies, pretzels, M&M’s, peppermints, and Goldfish.

Melt the milk chocolate first by placing in a microwave-safe bowl and microwaving on high for 1 minute. *If your chocolate gets too hot and starts to harden, add 1 teaspoon of butter at a time until smoothed out*

Pour melted milk chocolate onto the parchment paper, and spread out into a large semi-thin rectangle. Let it firm up for a few minutes before moving on.

Melt the white (vanilla) chocolate the same way, and pour into the large bowl with all of the crushed snacks. Mix everything together quickly so that it is evenly coated, and then drop by the spoonful onto the milk chocolate layer. Spread gently, so as not to disturb the bottom layer.

Add sprinkles, and let cool 1 hour (or refrigerate for 10 minutes). Break apart before serving.

  • ½ cup Goldfish crackers
