Rocky Road Brownies~Cook Bake & Decorate

It's another Wednesday. Time just seems to zoom past me some weeks, especially now that the warmer weather is here and we don't feel so cloistered
being indoors all the time. Yes, I said cloistered.

I can break out the big, fancy pants words every now and then.

I may or may not have had to spell-check it.

I just love having so many wonderful guest bloggers on here each week. And I'm thrilled to introduce another one to you (in case you haven't meet yet).

This blogger is a super lovely gal. She is sweet, spice and everything nice.
You wouldn't believe that she just started her blog in January and already she has a ton of recipes and decorating ideas posted.
That's right, she is not only a fabulous cook but she also has an eye for decorating. You have to check out her ideas, she really is very talented.

So everyone, please say hello to Muriel.
The mastermind, and gorgeous gal, behind the blog, Cook Bake & Decorate.

Hey everyone! My name is Muriel Miller from {Cook Bake & Decorate} and I am seriously honored that Brandie would ask me to be a guest blogger on her blog! I have really enjoyed getting to know Brandie through her blog and I absolutely adore all of her delicious recipes!

Starting my blog back in January, I would have never imagined that I would meet all the amazing and creative people that I have met during this process. I originally started my blog to keep a record of my favorite recipes that my family and I enjoy eating, but then realized how much fun it has been to find and try a bunch of new recipes along the way. I never knew that I would think or even dream about food more than I have since I started this all back in January, but it has opened my mind up to being lots more creative with the ingredients that I have on hand, and has allowed me to create recipes on my own that I never knew I was capable of doing.

I want to thank Brandie again for giving me the opportunity to share one of my recipes with you, and I hope that you will all stop by and stay for awhile. Hope you Enjoy!

Rocky Road Brownies

Ingredients:
For the Brownie:
1 cup Butter (softened)
1/2 cup cocoa
2 Tbsp. Honey
4 Eggs
2 cups sugar
1 3/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 cup marshmallows

For the Chocolate Frosting:
4 oz. Butter (softened)
3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
3 Tbsp. Cocoa Powder
1 tsp. vanilla
Couple Tbsp. of evaporated milk (I use about 1-3 Tbsp depending on the consistency I want)

Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees (F). Mix together all the ingredients for the brownies, except for the nuts and marshmallows and pour into a lightly greased 9x13 baking dish. Sprinkle 1/2 cup chopped pecans over the top of the brownie mixture and lightly press them into the batter. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. As soon as they are done baking sprinkle 1 cup of mini marshmallows over the top and lightly press them into the hot brownies. As the brownies start to cool slightly, make the frosting and spread over the top of the brownies. Let cool for another 10-15 minutes before slicing.
Serve with a cold glass of milk!

Aren't those brownies gorgeous? I absolutely love brownies with frosting so these are my kinda brownies right here. And of course, I love the addition of the pecans.
Thank you again to Muriel for sharing such a delightful recipe and
those photos that make me wanna drool!

I hope you'll visit Muriel's BLOG sometime. Be sure to tell her I sent ya.
Also, you can hang out with her daily by following her on FACEBOOK.

Enjoy!

Hi Muriel, it's so nice to meet you and I'm glad Brandie invited you over. Out of the gate you had me at brownie! But to kick it up with a rocky road style and oh, the generous frosting, it implores me to preheat the oven and get a batch going...Lovely post!
