FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

What temperature do you cook Air Fryer French Fries?

For this recipe and the majority of all recipes like this you will be cooking your french fries at 400 degrees F.

Do French Fries get crispy in the air fryer?

Yes! That is the beauty of the air fryer, they are able to not only cook but crisp up the food that is being cooked in the air fryer. So these do come out crispy without having to use any oil.

Do Air Fried French Fries taste good?

Yes, they do not taste any different than if you were to bake them or fry them. You are able to add any of your favorite seasonings to the top to bring out the flavor that you enjoy.

Are Air Fryer French Fries healthy?

They are healthier in the fact that you are not deep frying them in oil. You are still going to get the calorie and carb intake that it states on the bag but without the extra fat from them being deep fried.

Can I line my air fryer basket for less mess?

Only if the liner has larger holes in it. I’ve seen a lot of Amazon ads for air fryer liners that have no holes in them. This defeats the purpose of an air fryer. An air fryer needs the air to circulate all around the food to cook it properly. So if you are going to line your air fryer, you will need plenty of larger holes in the liner so the air can get to all sides of the food. I suggest not using any liner at all to get the best possible results.

Why do you have to shake the air fryer basket as it cooks?

When making frozen foods like French Fries or chicken nuggets, etc., this will help ensure that the food is cooked as evenly as possible.

How do I store leftovers?

These can be placed in an airtight container where they will keep in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. To reheat place your french fries back in the air fryer and cook for 1-2 minute until warmed through and crispy.
