Air Fryer Pizza Rolls

These easy homemade Air Fryer Pizza Rolls are made with crescent rolls stuffed with a pizza filling! An easy snack or fun dinner made in just minutes!

A 5-Ingredient Snack Recipe

Air Fryer Pizza Rolls are simple to make, use canned crescent roll dough, making them slightly flaky, and irresistible for both kids and adults. I love being able to make a homemade version of a classic favorite snack or appetizer. These are great for after work or after school snacks too. Plus, older kids can help with making these too. They’d even be a fun weeknight dinner!

Frequently Asked Questions:

Do I need to spray these Pizza Rolls before air frying?

No need to spray these rolls with nonstick rolls, especially since you are brushing them with garlic butter first.

Can I add other ingredients to the rolls?

Of course, but be mindful not to over fill the dough, otherwise it may squeeze out while air frying. Feel free to add tiny pieces of pepperoni or other pizza toppings. Just don’t overfill.

Do you have to flip the Pizza Rolls?

You don’t have to, but flipping them after 4 minutes allows them to cook more evenly. If you’re worried about them having an imprint from your air fryer on both sides after frying, don’t worry, the first 4 minutes frying allows them to firm up enough to not have markings from your air fryer on the opposite side while frying.

What style air fryer should I use?

I tested this recipe with my 6-quart basket style Air Fryer. It’s the most commonly used Air Fryer in the US, which is where most of my audience is from, so that’s what I’ve tested this recipe with. I have not tested it with the rack or drawer type fryers. There are so many different kinds these days and I only own one kind so I just can’t tell you about other air fryers or how they may cook differently. You will have to use your own knowledge of your particular type of air fryer to best know how to cook these.

How do I store leftover Pizza Rolls?

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days. They can be flash frozen then packed up in bags and frozen for up to 3 months.

Ingredients Needed: (See Recipe Card Below For The Full Recipe)

  • refrigerated crescent rolls– Pillsbury refrigerated crescent rolls were used for testing and in the photos.
  • mozzarella cheese – You may have some leftover cheese. You can use shredded mozzarella or some ripped up slices of mozzarella cheese slices.
  • pizza sauce– if you can’t find pizza sauce, feel free to use a different type of sauce for these pizza rolls. Marinara Sauce or tomato and basil sauces would work well. I love using Homemade Pizza Sauce too.
  • butter– butter is added to the top of the pizza rolls to help give them a golden color on top.
  • garlic salt– you can also use garlic powder if you don’t have garlic salt.

Notes

  • Please refer to my FAQ’s (Frequently Asked Questions) and ingredient list above for other substitutions or for the answers to the most common questions.
  • It’s important to not overfill the dough. The temptation is strong to stuff these but they won’t stay closed while cooking if you do. Just make sure that you pinch the sides really well to keep that from happening.
