Preheat the oven to 425F degrees. Line a 12 cup muffin tin with cupcake liners or spray with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.
Separate the streusel topping from the muffin mix (there will usually be two bags included - one is the muffin mix and one is the streusel topping). In a bowl, mix together the muffin mix, apples, milk, eggs, butter, and cloves.
Divide the batter evenly among muffin cups, about half to three-quarters full in each well.
Sprinkle streusel topping (that you set aside earlier) evenly over each muffin and place in the preheated oven.
Cook for 20-25 minutes until the tops are golden brown and spring back to the touch. Remove the muffins from the oven and place on a cooling rack.
For the glaze:
Whisk the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a small mixing bowl until smooth.
Drizzle over the warm muffins and serve immediately.

Any brand of cinnamon muffin mix will do. If you can't find one with a streusel topping, it is easy to make yourself. I have a recipe above in the FAQ section for that.
Store muffins in an airtight container or plastic bag in a single layer at room temp for up to 3-4 days.
