Line a 9x13-inch baking dish with parchment paper for easy removal or spray with cooking spray.
Over medium heat, add butter to a large saucepan until melted. Do not let the butter get brown.
Add in the marshmallows and mix until fully melted.
Remove the saucepan from the stovetop.
Add in the Rice Krispies cereal and mix until the cereal is fully coated.
Add in 4 Tablespoons of sprinkles. Mix until the sprinkles are fully mixed in.
Pour the mixture into the prepared dish.
Press the mixture into the dish. I find this easiest if I spray my hand with nonstick spray and press it in or you can take a piece of parchment paper and lay it on top and then press and smooth them out.
Sprinkle with remaining 2 Tablespoons of sprinkles. Press the sprinkles into the Rice Krispies treats.
Allow the Rice Krispies Treats to set for 10-15 minutes. Cut into 24 squares and enjoy!
