This simple and refreshing Agua de Melon drink recipe has only three ingredients. It's all blended to create a delicious and light-tasting aqua fresca.
Add the cantaloupe, water and sugar to a large blender.
Blend until smooth. You may need to blend it in batches depending on how large your blender is.
Add more sugar to taste and blend again until well-incorporated.
Strain the juice through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher.
Serve over ice or refrigerate until chilled and serve.
Notes
Make sure very cold water is used in this recipe.
I used one large cantaloupe (about 2-3 lbs).
You can also use pre-packaged cut fruit or even frozen fruit (although if you blend from frozen, this may end up more slushy.) Fresh is always best with aquas frescas.
Adjust sugar to your tastes.
This drink needs to be strained so you won't get any of the pulp from the fruit. But if you like the pulp, just skip that step.
You can enjoy this right away over ice or chill it before serving.
