Crock Pot French Onion Salisbury Steak is an easy dinner made with tender beef patties simmered in a rich French onion gravy and finished with melted provolone cheese.
In a bowl, add 1½ pounds lean ground beef, 1 teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon black pepper, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ½ cup breadcrumbs, 1 large egg, and 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce. Mix together until just combined.
Form into (4) oval shaped patties.
Place patties into a 4-6 quart oval slow cooker.
Pour 10.5 ounce can French onion soup over the patties and sprinkle 1 ounce packet French onion soup mix on top.
Add 1 cup unsalted beef broth.
Cover and cook on low for 5–6 hours, until patties are tender.
In a small bowl, whisk 1 Tablespoon cornstarch and 2 Tablespoons water.
Stir into the slow cooker and cook an additional 10–15 minutes until gravy thickens.
Top with 4 slices provolone cheese and cover 5 minutes to melt.

If you are concerned this will be too salty for you or you are concerned about the salt levels, I would highly recommend using low or no sodium options where possible.
