Instructions
To a large skillet, add 1 pound lean ground beef, ½ cup diced yellow onion, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon black pepper, 1 teaspoon garlic powder and ½ teaspoon onion powder over medium heat. Cook and crumble ground beef until no longer pink and fully cooked. Drain any excess grease and put beef back into the skillet.
To the skillet add 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese and 2 garlic cloves, minced. Stir until combined. Turn off the burner.
Slice 12 Kings Hawaiian Sweet Rolls in half long ways so there is a top and a bottom half.
Place the bottom half of the rolls on a parchment paper-lined 9x13 baking sheet or dish.
To the bottom of the rolls, add the ground beef mixture. Top the beef with the remaining one cup shredded cheddar cheese. Set aside.
Place the tops of the rolls back into the package tray the rolls came in (it is oven safe). Coat the tops of the rolls with the2 Tablespoons butter, melted and 1 teaspoon sesame seeds.
Bake both on the middle oven rack for about 5 minutes or until the cheese has melted.
Remove from the oven, and cover the meat mixture with ⅛ cup burger sauce, 1-2 cups chopped iceberg lettuce and 1 cup diced tomato.
Place the tops onto the sliders.
Slice and serve!
