A delicious chicken, bacon, ranch and cheese mixture all wrapped in crescent dough. This Crack Chicken Ball is an irresistible appetizer you can't stop eating!
Preheat the oven to 350F degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Unroll the crescent dough sheet on the parchment paper and set aside.
In a large bowl, or a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, mix together all of the ingredients until fully combined.
Shape the mixture into a bowl with your hands and place it in the center of the dough.
Wrap the dough around the ball, then flip the ball so the seam side is down.
Brush the dough all over with 1 tablespoon of melted butter and bake for 25 to 28 minutes until the ball is golden brown.
Remove from the oven and brush with the remaining butter and garnish with parsley.
Serve hot with toasted baguette, vegetables, crackers, and more!
Notes
A packet of ranch seasoning/dip mix is 8 teaspoons, this recipe only needs 6, otherwise it is a bit too salty. Packaged or homemade can be used.
Canned chicken can be used for this recipe. Just drain the chicken well.
You can use this mixture to make individual bombs, you’ll just need 2 packages of 8-count crescent rolls and the bake time will be reduced to 12 to 15 minutes.
Cheddar cheese can be used in place of the mozzarella, if desired.
This recipe is addictive and exploding with flavor. Think of this as a warm cheeseball basically.
Serve this with slices of bread, vegetables or crackers.
