Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350F degrees.
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, whisk together the apple juice, brown sugar, and spiced apple cider mix.
Bring to a bubble and reduce heat to medium low.
Reduce mixture until it is thickened and looks like maple syrup (about 10-15 minutes).
Place ham into a baking dish and coat it with half of the glaze mixture. Note: I like to place the ham (if possible) cut side down with the fattier side facing up.
Bake uncovered for 1 ½ to 2 hours until the thermometer inserted at the thickest part reads 140 degrees F.
Carefully pour over the rest of the glaze. Put under the broiler in your oven for about 5-7 minutes, watching closely. You want the sugar to caramelize, not burn. Then serve.
Notes
Apple cider can be used in place of apple juice if you want a more potent flavor.
Non-spiral hams will work as well, see my tips above.
