Strawberry Fields Salad recipe is inspired by the one at Wendy's. Full of greens, grilled chicken, strawberries and balsamic dressing.
STRAWBERRY FIELDS SALAD
WHICH BALSAMIC VINAIGRETTE DRESSING IS BEST?
You can certainly make your own balsamic dressing. The dressing I use in the recipe for PASTA SALAD WITH SWEET BALSAMIC DRESSING is amazing! Or you can go with a store-bought version. I like this one from Marzetti. It has a nice balance of flavors. You can find it in the refrigerated section near the produce. Use whichever one is your favorite!

STRAWBERRY FIELDS SALAD
Ingredients
- 1 (5 oz) bag Spring Mix greens
- 1 pint fresh strawberries, thinly sliced
- ½ red onion thinly sliced
- ¼ cup dried berries (cranberries or cherries)
- ½ cup Feta cheese crumbles
- ½ cup praline pecans
- 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 2 grilled chicken breasts, sliced
- 1 bottle Balsamic Salad Dressing
Instructions
- Place spring mix greens into a large bowl or large platter. Remove tops of strawberries and slice thinly. Thinly slice red onions.
- Pro Tip: When using raw onions, soak the sliced onions in ice water for a few minutes before serving. This will help with the onion tasting too pungent and overpowering the rest of the dish.
- Add sliced onions to salad and sprinkle with dried berries, Feta cheese crumbles, praline pecans, sliced strawberries, bacon and sliced chicken.
- Then drizzle balsamic vinaigrette dresisng on top (as little or as much as you like.)

I REALLY don't like making salads...and usually only eat them when we eat out. But love being able to make a copycat...this sounds wonderfully delish.
We like tuna salad and a broccoli lettuce salad.
I like all salads
I am looking forward to trying this salad. It looks and sounds yummy!
I love salads like this! Pile on the fruit, nuts and cheese and I'm in heaven!
This looks delicious. barlarbear@aol.com
I am somewhat lazy so I usually use packaged salad, instead of having to cut up lettuce

I don't make salad much, I find it a chore to make. When I do make it, I use the ready-made bags of salad so it is quick.
If I have time, I love to make a base of several greens, layers of veggies and fruits: red pepper, onions, avacado, strawberries, blueberries, mandarin oranges - then topping with nuts and seeds and a lovely homemade dressing. It all depends what I have on hand at the time. I am like you - I could eat salad every day! I am going to try your strawberry salad this week! Thanks for the giveaway opportunity!

I love greens in my salad with fruit and nuts.
I like a good mixed greens, edamame, walnut, tomato and carrot salad with sesame ginger dressing!
I often buy the bagged salad mixes because they're easy, but when I want a really good salad I use romaine hearts--washed and spun through the salad spinner, and add halved grape tomatoes, cucumber slices, shredded carrots, and whatever else I find in the frig. Homemade croutons are a nice finishing touch.
I love it with fresh veggies from my garden!

I like salads that have a protein in them whether it be tuna, salmon or chicken.
