FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

What is triple sec?

It is just an orange flavored liqueur.

Do I have to use honey?

Of course not. I wanted to go with a natural sweetener here but you could use agave or your favorite artificial sweetener.

What other options are there for coating the rim of the glass?

Try substituting sugar on the rim instead of salt. You could also add a touch of chili powder for a little spice!

How can I make a bubble margarita?

Try adding some club soda or sparkling water to your margaritas. Bubbly drinks are always fun!

Can I substitute bottled orange juice for fresh-squeezed?

Yes you can. However, I prefer the low acid bottled orange juice for this so the acid doesn’t overpower the other flavors. In addition, you could use bottled lime juice for the fresh. But trust me – fresh will make all the difference here!

What brand of tequila should I use?

I go with the old favorite – Jose Cuervo.

How do I store leftover margarita mix?

Although these are best served fresh, since they are made in a pitcher, you can store it in the refrigerator (covered) for up to 3 days.

Those orange margaritas sound heavenly. I’m going to serve them for my Bunco group when it’s my time to hostess. They’re going to love them. Thank you so much.
