Harvest Chex Mix (+Video)

Harvest Chex Mix is a sweet, fall-inspired Chex Mix that uses Rice Chex, Pretzels, Bugles, Reese’s Pieces tossed in a brown sugar glaze!

A SWEET FALL FLAVORED SNACK

I know there are all kinds of Chex mixes out there. Some are sweet and some are savory. This one is a little of both and it might be my most favorite one yet! I don’t know what it is about these mixes that I love but I really enjoy making them and then snacking on them throughout the week. And they’re super fun and yummy for get-togethers during the holiday season.

TIPS FOR MAKING THIS HARVEST CHEX PARTY MIX:

  • Now, I know some folks have a love/hate relationship with candy corn. So, if you don’t like it – just leave it out.
  • You could use M&M’s instead of the Reese’s pieces. Or you can add in some peanuts. Whatever you and your family enjoy!

Just made this and my house smells wonderful! My only problem was mixing everything, because the largest bowl I had (8 qt.) barely contained it all with room for mixing.

i made this and it is so good. i am NOT a fan of candy corn, but went with the recipe as it had so many good reviews (i did keep out the pumpkins…just a bit too much for my taste i thought). let me tell you, though, the candy corn mixed with this was probably my favorite part! it blended very nicely with the butter mixture.

i can’t think of one myself, but any suggestions to keep the candies from sinking straight to the bottom? that was my only problem with this. don’t get me wrong, i’m heading in to make a batch to take to a friend’s house tomorrow, but i’ll be adding the candy once i get there.

    so good!

  5. Can you do this in the microwave like you can the original chex mix recipe? I don’t know that the sugar would hold up…? I’d like to make in large quantities without spending my entire day in the kitchen.

Mine is not sticky, and it’s still not completely cool. My only thought would be as he chews the candy corn and pumpkins, would it get in the wires of his braces? It’s been so long since I wore braces that I can’t remember.

Even the Nutritional facts will not deter me from trying this recipe for a family affair 150 miles away. Should travel well in back seat where I can’t reach. I do so appreciate the nutritional facts that you have with your recipes. Thanks
