Time to make the cookies
I am determined to get some Christmas cookies made this week. Every year we always make up a big batch of cut-out sugar cookies and then we all sit around with bowls of icing and sprinkles and get to decorating (and licking our fingers.) 😉 It’s fun and exhausting all at the same time. But like anything else in life, you make time for the important stuff – no excuses. Family traditions and showing your family you set aside special time just for them is more important than any cookie ever could be. Right?
Make time for dessert
I also included a couple of yummy sweet recipes this week. These two desserts should give you some leftovers so that you can have dessert for a few nights of the week. Just make sure to keep the desserts properly covered and stored in the fridge. I also added a couple of cold-weather favorites like chili and pot roast. You can’t go wrong with those. You can make rice to go with the Crock Pot Chili. I like to put a bit of rice in the bottom of my bowl then scoop a heaping ladle full of chili on top. Of course I need a side of cornbread too! And you can serve the pot roast with some potatoes and carrots. If you have time, try making my Maple Glazed Carrot recipe. It is so good and one of my personal favorites! Need more recipe ideas?
