FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

What can I add to refried bean dip?

You can make this as easy or as complicated as you like. To really amp up the creaminess, try adding a block of softened cream cheese to the mixture. Like a bit of heat? Add a can of diced green chiles!

What cheeses are used in refried bean dip?

Other cheeses that can be used are: Monterey Jack, Colby Jaco or a Mexican cheese blend. For more spice, try using a Pepper Jack cheese. Also, feel free to use as much cheese as you enjoy!

How long is bean dip good for?

This bean dip recipe can stay out on the counter for about a day. Otherwise, I would cover it and keep it in the refrigerator for up to a week.

Can refried bean dip be frozen?

Yes it can! It can be frozen before or after baking. Just ensure it has cooled completely then wrap in plastic wrap then aluminum foil (to prevent freezer burn) and it will keep for up to 3 months! Reheat in the oven or microwave (only reheat in microwave if it is in a microwave-safe baking dish.)
