TIPS FOR MAKING SAUSAGE STUFFED BISCUITS:

  • Use any flavor of ground pork sausage that your family loves. Try switching it up with a spicy pork sausage, Italian pork sausage or even a sage pork sausage. They will all work with this recipe.
  • Any type of refrigerated biscuit will work with this recipe. I just go with a standard buttermilk biscuit but it also works with the flaky layers biscuits as well.
  • Use your favorite cheese in this recipe. I like the little kick that you get from using pepper jack cheese but cheddar and Colby jack cheeses are wonderful too!
  • These freeze well so go ahead and make extra to have for later!

Overall a good recipe! Next time I might use 1/2 packet of ranch – just my personal taste since I don’t like ranch flavor or ranch dressing really – but my family loves it.

    1. haven’t made it yet, and although i love ranch, not enticing in this recipe – i was curious what might be a good substitute – maybe taco? or a meatloaf or garlicky type seasoning?? – love the concept though!

      1. I love it with ranch and I haven’t tried it with any substitutions. I say add whatever you think will taste best. Perhaps someone else on here has tried it with other seasonings and can let us know their thoughts! 🙂
