Cookie Monster Layered Dessert (+Video)
Cookie Monster Dessert is the ultimate four layer dessert. A layer of chocolate chip cookie topped with pudding, sweetened cream cheese and whipped topping!
CHOCOLATE “LASAGNA”
I think I must have been conditioned at a young age to want dessert right after supper. As soon as I am finished eating my meal, I immediately want something sweet. This chocolate chip cookie layered dessert fits the bill. I tested it out this weekend with my co-workers and I came home with an empty dish. They officially dubbed it the Cookie Monster dessert. I am calling this dessert a win!

LAYERS OF COOKIE DOUGH, CREAM CHEESE, CHOCOLATE PUDDING, COOL WHIP
And so what do you get when you combine some of your favorite desserts together? You get the Cookie Monster dessert. Part chocolate chip cookie, part pudding, part whipped cream and all delicious. I’m thinking this dessert is the best of all worlds. And it is a perfect ending to any meal.

INGREDIENTS NEEDED: (FULL RECIPE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE POST)
- chocolate chip cookie dough
- cream cheese
- powdered sugar
- whipped topping (COOL WHIP)
- milk
- instant chocolate pudding
- instant vanilla pudding
- mini chocolate chips

HOW TO MAKE COOKIE MONSTER LAYERED DESSERT:
Set cookie dough out on counter and let come to room temperature to soften (this will make it easier to spread into your baking dish). Preheat oven to 350F degrees. Spray 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. When dough is soft, spread into baking pan.

This takes a little patience to get it all spread out. Just get it as even as you can. Bake for about 14-16 minutes until golden brown.

Allow to cool completely. Now it’s time to start on the next layer. In a medium bowl, mix together cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.

Add in 2 cups of whipped topping. Mix gently.

Once your cookie base is completely cooled, spread on cream cheese mixture.

Now it’s time to make the pudding layer. In a medium bowl, combine chocolate and vanilla puddings with cold milk.

Whisk it together until smooth. Let it set for about 2 minutes. It should be soft set but still spreadable.

Spread pudding mixture on top of cream cheese layer.

Spread remaining whipped topping on top of pudding layer.

Sprinkle with mini chocolate chips. Keep dessert covered and stored in the refrigerator until ready to eat.

I made this and my family loved it. The only thing I did different was cut the powdered sugar down to 1/2 cup. BRANDIE you did it again. Thank you!! Next weekend I’m going to try the Marry Me Chicken recipe. I will leave a review but I’m sure it will be Delicious.
You’re so kind Denise – thank you!! Please come back & let me know what you think about that chicken! ❤️
My granddaughters LOVED this! It was a hit for Easter
I kid you not… I invented this recipe in 1982. I was 8 years old and was playing around in the kitchen. My mom made fruit pizza, but I thought it should be chocolate with no fruit. And I made this…
Ha! I love it! My Dad swears he invented the bacon cheeseburger. LOL
I have the recipe for Hilton’s Doubletree Chocolate Chip Cookies and I think that would compliment this dessert a great deal. Not a fan of pre-made doughs or batters. The Doubletree cookies will add some extra texture with the rolled oats. Thanks again Brandie! You’re going to make me fatter.
Easy and delicious! Took to labor day cookout, none came home
This is a big hit in our family, making this for Sunday dinner as I’m in charge of desserts something new every week.. this is by time my all favorite remember eating this when I was younger time to share with rest of the family
Had to try this, but I altered it. My husband isn't a chocolate fan, so I decided to use a sugar cookie crust and use banana cream and white chocolate pudding instead. It's chilling now, but it tasted great as I licked the spoon after putting it together. Can't wait to eat it. I'm sure it will be a hit here.
