No-Bake S’mores Treats (+Video)

No-Bake Gooey S’mores Treats are almost easier to make than s’mores! Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal with gooey marshmallows and chocolate. Yum!

A GOOEY CEREAL BAR RECIPE

This next recipe is a fun little twist on traditional S’mores. I mean, who doesn’t love S’mores? Okay, okay, I’m sure there are a few folks who shall remain nameless. But they are really the ultimate easy, gooey fun summertime treat. So why not bring that treat indoors? No baking required! We are going to make these treats just like Rice Krispies Treats. They will still remain gooey and delicious.

CAN I USE OTHER CEREALS?

I prefer using the Cinnamon Toast Crunch for this because I like that little bit of cinnamon that it adds. But for a more traditional S’mores taste, you can use the Golden Grahams cereal.

INGREDIENTS NEEDED: (FULL RECIPE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE POST)

  • butter
  • mini marshmallows
  • Cinnamon Toast Crunch (or Golden Grahams)
  • semi-sweet (or milk chocolate) chocolate chips
butter. mini marshmallows, Cinnamon Toast Crunch (or Golden Grahams), semi-sweet (or milk chocolate) chocolate chips

HOW TO MAKE GOOEY S’MORES TREATS:

Spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray (this will just help get the bars out easier). In a large pot over medium heat, melt butter with mini marshmallows. Don’t allow to burn. Stir frequently and melt gently until smooth and combined.

Take pot off of heat. Stir in Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal (or Golden Grahams, if using.) Stir until mixture is totally combined.

Now, at this point, you can stir in chocolate chips. They will melt as you stir them in. Or, if you want to keep them more intact, transfer mixture to another bowl (this will help it cool faster). And then wait a few minutes before stirring in chocolate chips.

Pour mixture into prepared baking dish and spread out evenly. Allow mixture to cool completely and then slice.

I grew up enjoying these! My mom made these a lot. I found the recipe in Hershey’s Chocolate Lovers Cookbook which is the same book my mother used. You definitely want the chocolate to melt or else you won’t get it in every bite. Way better than the campfire ones!

OH.MY.GOODNESS! I'm not wild about marsh(a)mallows,=) but I could eat half the pan of this stuff in one sitting! Thanks for sharing. I'm sooo excited because I just bought a box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch for another recipe…now I know what I'll do with the 'leftovers'. Thanks – enjoy a wonderful Labor Day weekend Friend.

  10. Just wondering why you don't use marshmallow cream instead of melting the marshmallows. It's sounds like a great treat that could be great for our football weekends!
