Come out of hibernation
Sometimes it feels like the winter months just drag on – especially after the holidays! And I know many folks are doing their best to get back on track with exercise and trying to eat better. It’s not always easy to find that motivation but I am a big believer in making small changes for maximum result. And one of those small changes for me is to EAT MORE VEGGIES! Picking a small but achievable goal is a great way to help me make those positive changes that I am wanting. And it is encouraging to me when I can actually attain an achievable goal!
Game Day food
I think the hardest time to snack right is when you are hanging out with friends watching the big game. So I have figured out the best way to make sure I get those veggies in – along with a few chicken wings (keepin’ it real) – is to make fun individual servings. Pick up a cup of Marzetti® Veggie Dip and fresh cut veggies and snack away!
Healthy snacking made fun!
These are not only good for game day but are perfect for any party for kids or grown ups. It makes it easier (and yummier!) to eat fresh vegetables. If a snack is convenient, then it makes it more likely we’re going to eat it. Plus, we forget that it is fun to play with our food! I am using the Marzetti® Light Ranch! Veggie Dip for these but you can change it up with any Marzetti® Veggie Dip flavor you like (Marzetti® Spicy Avocado Ranch Veggie Dip is another favorite!) It is thick and creamy and makes me feel good about eating fresh vegetables. It’s the little things that make ALL the difference!

I made these veggie cups with carrots, celery, cucumber, yellow peppers and grape tomatoes. However, you can use whatever you enjoy and you know your family and kids will eat.
1 (14 oz.) container Marzetti® Light Ranch! Veggie Dip
6 stalks celery
1 pound whole carrots, peeled
2 yellow peppers
1 large English cucumber
1 pint grape tomatoes
16 clear individual serving cups (1/3 cup size)
Cut all the veggies into 3-inch long strips. With English cucumbers, you don’t even need to peel them since the peel is tender and edible.
Place about 2 tablespoons of Marzetti® Ranch! Veggie Dip into the bottom of each individual serving cup. Place veggie sticks into the dip in the bottom of each cup (placing the grape tomatoes in the middle.)
