Now onto the next fun giveaway!
When I started this blog back in January, it was to keep a record of recipes and memories for future generations.
Every recipe tells a story, no matter how small it may seem at the time.
The fact that there are so many people here to enjoy this ride with me is incredible.
I am so grateful. I want y'all to know that I read each and every comment on the blog here, on facebook and twitter. Even if I don't respond right away, please know that I am reading, listening and paying attention. And I'm ever so thankful for the time you take to leave a comment. I know time is precious.
So, to say thank you to all of you who have helped me, supported me, said a
kind word to keep me going with this blog, this giveaway is for you.
kind word to keep me going with this blog, this giveaway is for you.
Lord knows I wish I had the money and resources to give each of you something special.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
I figured since all of you were here because you enjoy the recipes, that you might like a collection of all my recipes. I have compiled a binder full of all of my recipes from the blog (does not include guest poster's recipes). There are nearly 100 recipes included. It's in a 3-Ring binder so you can add-in your own recipes in there (or take out ones you don't want). I've even included some extra sheet protectors. That way, you can really make this binder your own and continue to add favorite recipes to it.
I burned up nearly a whole printer cartridge printing this baby out. I'm proud looking at it.
It's kinda like my first cookbook, published and printed by yours truly.

Complete with doodles. Because I'm a doodler. Albeit a bad doodler.
Also, many of you know my love for dish towels. It may borderline on obsession. I wanted to share one of my favorite types of dish towels. The oven dish towel. This Americana dish towel hangs right on your oven door and was hand crocheted. Isn't it purdy?

And I even included tabs. Although I realized after putting them in that the tabs don't come out long enough but they'll do the job. I definitely will never give Martha Stewart a run for her money, let me tell ya.

And last, but not least, some Paula Deen salt & pepper shakers and spoon rest. She is the one who inspired me to get my patoot back in the kitchen after I had my son. And my passion was reignited.

Leave me a comment and say hello. Maybe tell me how you found The Country Cook. Do you have a favorite recipe from my website?

Be sure to leave me your name and your e-mail address so I can contact you if you win.
Open to U.S. residents 18 years and older.

My name is Kristen and I love your blog. I use your recipes all the time and my husband and four children love them. My favorite thing to do in the kitchen is to bake.
ReplyDeleteHi there, my name is Maredith and my email is marehaes@yahoo.com. I found your website one day when I was searching for oreo cake recipes. The oreo poke cake was the first recipe I made from your site. Since then I have made several of your recipes, in fact, your site has been "my go to" for recipes. We were in a rut eating the same things week after week. I have two young picky eaters and trying new recipes often times don't work. However, your recipes have all been wonderful and my family has loved them. I'm from Massachusetts.
ReplyDeleteWell, my name is Rosanna (almost 48), and I work full time. So making home cooked meals can be real tough when I don't get home from work until 5:30pm or so and have a very impatient hungry 4 year old diva. I haven't been able to try your recipes out yet but have several I am wanting to give a go at. I also have a 25 and 22 year old sons.... They are on their own now but my family does keep me busy.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 4,ooo Facebook Friends!!!!! I love your recipes and have tried several... my favorites so far, Southern Banana Pudding and Cherry Limeade!!! I lived in TN for 12 years then came back to DE, but I miss the food so much...So, Thank you, your recipes are filling the void...

I know you are a wonderful cook...and a wonderful lady as well. My hubby is retired from the military and I decorate my house in red, white & blue. I love the dishtowel and would LOVE to have a copy of your own cookbook. What a lot of work, but I'm sure it's something you can be very proud of. I'm excited about spending more time with you here.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Brandi! I'm not quite sure how I found your blog, but I do remember I found it when you were just starting out and it's wonderful to see how successful you have become :)

Hello! I'm new here - just found your site yesterday. I have 5 children - one grown and moved out, and 4 at home: 10, 4, 2, and 3 months old. I homeschool them all, so I am one busy lady! I have been looking for some ways to mix up our dinner choices, so we're not as tempted to eat out all the time - that's EXPENSIVE! I LOVE new recipes, and I have a serious cookbook addiction. :P I haven't tried anything here yet, but I've been browsing a bit, and I can't WAIT to dive in! Thanks for taking the time to share with those of us who are not nearly as creative in the kitchen! :)

I have the meatball and tortellini soup in the crock pot right now, perfect for this chilly rainy West Virginia day. I found you through one of the food blogs that I read, but I am not sure which one.
ReplyDeleteI think I found your blog through The Pioneer Woman. I'm glad I did as I love your blog! Your receipes are the kind I cook myself and I will usually have the ingredients and not have to run to a speciality shop for supplies. My husband and I are country all the way--born and raised. I am from a family of 10 siblings and my husband is from a family of 12 siblings and we do a lot of cooking. Your receipes have been a big hit so far. Thank you for taking the time to make my life a little easier.

ReplyDeleteValerie ~ Simple Fare, Fairly Simple
Hi, my name is Anita. A little over 4 years ago, at the age of 45, my life changed forever. With one simple "I do", I became a wife for the first time, a step-mom, a grandma, a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law...all for the first time. Plus, I went from being a city girl to being a country gal, living out in the middle of nowhere. What a challenge that was but it's been an awesome journey so far. After having illnesses and financial struggles that go with that, I have been trying to slowly get back to the simple things in life and back to basics. I'm venturing out in doing more homecooked meals, getting away from processed foods as much as possible. I love your site and wish you many successes with it. Doing something like this is in my mind to try, some day, when I have successfully tackled some of my other ideas. Good luck and God Bless! My email is almull31@gmail.com. Thank you for the chance to win your cookbook!
ReplyDeleteMajor congrats on 4,000 fans! My name is JoBeth Davis (jbdavis@wsfa.com) and I found your site as a recommendation from another blog, The Southern Bite. I work for a television station in Montgomery - WSFA. And while most people know WSFA stands for "South's finest airport" the people who work here know the motto to be "We serve food always." And I'm one of the reasons it's know that way. I make several dishes each month just for the sake of trying them, and then I feed them to the folks at the station. I'm especially known for my recipes during "Friday Night Fever" I bring two or three dishes every Friday night as sort of an impromptu tailgate party. By the way, folks here are big fans of your Ham and Cheese Party Rolls and your Chocolate Eclair Cake. Tomorrow's Friday which means another week of food and I'm serving up your Oreo Pudding Poke Cake along with two recipes of my own. They keep telling me I need to do a weekly segment of my own, but I have to give credit where credit is due...to bloggers just like you!
ReplyDeleteI love to cook and am always looking for southern or homestyle recipes. Your blog has plenty of both and I love it.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for more!!!

Hi I'm Lori from Oklahoma. Cooking is my hobby & I found your blog one night just looking up blogs. I'm so glad I found yours as every recipe I've tried so far has been fantastic! I've also got several friends hooked on you as well.
ReplyDeleteMy menfolk are in love with your Shortcut Apple Danish recipe.
ReplyDeleteYou mentioned that your tab dividers didn't stick out enough to be seen in your cookbook. I can help you with that. Put them in page protectors. Just cut a small opening in the side of the page protector for your tab to stick out.

I refer to your page EVERY DAY ! The other day I made the meatball tortellini soup in the crock pot and the kids loved it ! I am making the eclair cake and hamburger steak/salisibury steaks and gravy today. You are down home cooking to the core and my family and I love it !

Hi Brandie! Congrats on the 4000!!!! My name is Colleen and I live in the great state of West Virginia! I can't remember exactly how I found your blog but I think it was either a link from another blog I follow or a FB friend linked it. I know it was definitely through FB that I found you and I'm so glad that I did! My favorite recipe SO FAR is the Pea Pickin Cake (you might remember I did a sugar free version of it) but I'm sure I'll find many others as I keep trying each one. :)
ReplyDeleteMy email is stebcol@hotmail.com
Wow! 4,000! Way to go! I stumbled upon your page on Facebook. I eagerly await each days posting :) Love your "self-published" cookbook and can offer one tip for those tabs: Put the tabs in one of those plastic page protectors with a slit cut in the edge for the tab to come out - the page would be held in by the holes in the page protector - not the tab.
ReplyDeleteLOVE your facebook page and your blogger blog.
Hi! Thanks for creating a fun and very useful blog. I am so excited to try your Not Your Momma's Meatloaf. I have it on my monthly menu for this month!! It sounds so good. Thanks for the chance to enter!

ReplyDeleteHi Brandie! My name is Janna and my email is jannaconn@yahoo.com. I recently discovered your blog and Facebook page through a mutual Facebook friend that we have. She posted a link for your potato packets recipe and I thought they sounded awesome! I started looking around at all your recipes and I was so excited to try some of them. I instantly started jotting down some to try that week at our house. We started with the potato packets and absolutely loved them. That will defintely be a regular side dish from here on out! Next, I tried the crock pot beef dip sandwiches and these were amazing! My steak lovin' hubby LOVED them very much! And, I also made the crockpot meatball and tortelli soup. It was full of flavor and so yummy for a cold fall or winter day! I served it with the garlic breadsticks and it was an awesome meal. I will defintely be making more of the recipes you have on your blog. I love that you post step by step photos and photos of the ingredients. This helps me alot in knowing exactly what to buy. I also love that your recipes are simple yet delicious. I am a busy mom and wife and I am always looking for quick but tasty meals and I think I have found just the place! I am a mediocre cook but these recipes make me come across as an awesome cook! Thank you so much and keep up the great work! :)
ReplyDeleteHello! I'm Jessica (aka Taterbug), and my email is jessicatull22@gmail.com. I found you through Southern Bite, and I just added the ingredients for your spasagna to my weekly grocery list. You've also added a little sunshine to my world with the name "spasagna," and especially with my husband's attempts to pronounce "spasagna." He almost always ends up with "Bispanya," which sounds like some European nation. :P Anywho, this is my first visit to your site, but I will definitely be following you in the future. You've got some awfully tasty-lookin' stuff on here, and I can't wait to sort through and find some new recipes to make. Thanks for all the inspiration! :)
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog--a friend mentioned it. Looks yummy! Add me to your fan list!
