Man Food~A Father's Day Recipe Roundup

My husband always gets to pick something special for dinner for Father's Day. He usually chooses something we don't have very often so I do my best to oblige.

Let's be honest though, my man is spoiled.

He gets a lot of food that he likes most days.

This is his day, so I let him have a total day of relaxation.
No 'honey-do' lists.
Sunday is also Gene's only day off work for the entire week
so he has absolutely earned that right. My guy works hard for the money.
This year he and our son, Alex, are going to the Drag Races in Bristol.

So I thought I'd put together some ideas for you
(in case your honey isn't sure what to have).

Maybe just show him this page, kinda like a menu.

~Click on the link under the picture to view the recipe~

~Cinnamon Raisin Biscuits~
My hubby loves these and would make a great breakfast.

 ~Crock Pot Meatballs~
A great snack for later in the day or as an appetizer.

~Kickin' Chicken Wings~
Great for lunch or appetizer before dinner.

This is what I'll be making for Gene. These are out of these world good!

Another burger option for your meat-lovin' man

Another one of my hubby's favorites

~Grilled Chicken Skewers~
You can try out that new grill you bought this year!

~Crock Pot Beef Dips~
Want something easy yet guaranteed to satisfy. Then you gotta make these!
~Hot Dog Chili~
Maybe your guy is more a hot dog kinda guy. Make this chili for those grilled dogs and he'll definitely come back for seconds.

The perfect side for a BBQ

~Foil Potato Packets~
I don't know many men who don't love these.

~Country Potato Salad~
This one is a favorite of my Dad!

~Whoopie Pies~
My hubby has a serious sweet tooth and he loves these.

~Honey Bun Cake~
Honey bun cake especially for your honey!

~German Chocolate Cheesecake Cake~
I have found this is another favorite among the menfolk.

~Oreo Cookie Balls~
I've been known to bribe my hubby with these.

~Shortcut Apple Danish~
Don't want to spend all day in the kitchen? Try these super easy yet super yummy Apple Danishes.

~Eclair Cake~
This is a great dessert to make the night before.

Maybe your fella is a classic, just like these cookies. Best thing about this recipe?
You don't have to wait for butter to soften!

Want something sweet that the kids can help out with? Try these.
My husband loves these and they are so simple to put together.

Gene's favorite drink (and he's a yankee so that's saying something).
As we say around our house, "Ya want some sweet tea, sweet pea?"

  4. Dear Brandie,

I'm with Holly, I haven't finished a morning cup of coffee, but I've got dinner on my mind. Awesome round-up Brandie, and a fine tribute to a good man! Like I said the other day, you take good care of your boys and with menu choices like these, it will be a happy Father's Day indeed.

Many thanks for having me here in a guest post, dear. Your welcome was so warm and gracious - a memorable good time that I will cherish long after the cupcakes are gone!

    Fondly,
    Brooks

  8. Happy Father's Day to the great men in your life!

I've been looking for a good baked beans recipe. I'm so glad you posted one! I completely trust your judgement, so I think I'll be trying this one soon. Maybe I'll even make it for the husband this weekend - even though he's only a daddy man to furry brown kids.

  12. This is one great round up Brandie! My hubby has also taken the opportunity to request something that is rarely made in my house. In fact I've only made it once - chicken fried steak. Do you have a recipe by any chance?
